SUMMARY:Patient-Oriented Research Training Session
DESCRIPTION:The Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) in collaboration with Diabetes Action Canada is please to offer training sessions in English and in French based on the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Patient-Oriented Research Foundations in a virtual format over two-half days. \nThis highly interactive training is designed to build mutually beneficial relationships for conducting patient-oriented research by ensuring that all stakeholders – patients\, researchers\, healthcare providers and health system decision-makers – have a common foundational understanding of patient-oriented research\, the research enterprise\, and team dynamics. The course is designed to be delivered in a co-learning format with groups comprised of all stakeholder groups\, learning together. It emphasizes group discussions that enable participants to appreciate diverse perspectives and to develop relationships that may lead to successful research teams. Some pre-reading will also accompany the training which will hopefully lead to more successful discussions. \nRegister now as there is limited availability in this session. \n– Tuesday\, November 16th and Wednesday\, November 17th\, 2021\, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (ADT) both days \nIf you are interested in participating in one of these sessions\, please contact Shelley Strickland\, MSSU Administrative Coordinator\, Shelley.Strickland@nshealth.ca. She will confirm availability and send you a calendar invitation. \n
